There are more than seven billion people in the world today and this number is growing at an alarming rate. Most of them aim to only make through life with daily struggles limited to finding nutrition and shelter but according to Wordl Data Lab(1) nearly half have been moved to what is universally determined as ‘middle-class’. The competition out there is intense!

I was orphaned in my teenage years and as the eldest male member of the family, I had no choice but to step in my father’s shoes and succeed in providing for my mother and siblings. I exhibited a strong will and determination to not only maintain but expand my father’s business. For this, I tapped into my own interests in technology and aligned them with business prospects to offer innovative products to new markets. My keen interest in digging deep for knowledge and practical information to understand any new thing I come across served its purpose well every time. The financial stability helped support my siblings to follow the normal progression of their studies. My adventurous and risk-taking parts of personality then allowed me to move to new lands and establish myself in businesses there. The goal that I had set myself as a teenager of combining my passion for sciences, technology, and education saw me indulging and succeeding in maintaining a job in educational technology as well as continuing to support the family business.

I have continuously exhibited the capacity to adapt, persevere, and excel in any challenge I seek. The last two decades of my life have seen me living and working in both, western (the U.K.) and eastern (China) cultures. Currently, I find myself in the middle (East). I have learned to respect, learn, and establish deep-rooted links with these cultures and enjoy being a polyglot (Punjabi, Urdu, English, French, Chinese, Arabic [limited]) through the expansion of my linguistic abilities. These skills have aided me immensely in my career and social circles. I understand the diverse nature of human cultures as well as their distinct ethical and social nuances. This has allowed me to have a vast circle of friendships with a global outreach.

In my professional life, I am humbled to be known as a compassionate, conscientious, honest, and problem-solving colleague. I have reached senior management positions in my profession through hard work and dedication. My goals are not only financially motivated but aligned with my passions that I enjoy every day at work. My long-term goal is to provide a comfortable family home and security for my children’s future in education and to enable them to find, follow, and fulfill their own dreams. Among my other goals are to maintain my health in top shape, keep my professional passion alive and support the next generation in their journeys.

I believe this introduction helps to establish my mission and vision statements as below:

Mission Statement:

When the time comes to depart this world, I should be able to look back at having lived a healthy and happy life during which I would have made a difference in the lives of not only my family but any stranger on the road, all the while inspiring compassion, endurance, virtue, and resolve.

Vision Statement:

I will always be passionate, dedicated, and virtuous in my professional life and shall achieve the satisfaction of becoming a successful and established leader in my craft. My career shall not only allow me to assist the fusion of technology with educational practices but also inspire and make a difference in the lives of my colleagues and the next generation.
