left Beijing this morning to fly to Dubai where we stay for 9 nights and then Amelie and Maheen are off to France and I go to Pakistan. Arrived in Dubai after 8.5 hrs just when sandstorm had swept through…poor visibility in the city and hot. Hotel is nice but its a shock for prices and quality of service when compared to China. I miss China already… only felt this when leaving Pakistan but today when leaving Beijing it felt like leaving home… no wonder on our arrival at hotel in Dubai the check in documents were typed in my name and they put my nationality as Chinese… despite presenting my UK passport which lost its virginity today… got voilated by same stamp as did my Pakistani passport 14 years ago… well… Dubai has perhaps some special link… here are some photos… hmm… my netbook doesnt want to use the insert photos wizard so will do that later…
here are the photos… well the issue was compatibility with IE8 and WordPress version I have installed… perhaps time to update wordpress or Microsoft to get its act together… knowing M$ I think I will have to update WP 😉

Step 1: Go to “Site Actions”, “Site Settings” and under “Site Collection Administration” click on “Search Scopes”.Step 2: Click on “New Scope” and give it a title. Usually the document library you wish to search. Click “OK”Step 3: Now we need to add a rule. Go to the document library you wish to search and grab the URL. Then repeat Step 1 to get back to the search scope settings page. Click on the search scope you created in Step 2. Under the “Rules” section click on “New Rule”. Select “Web Address” and enter the URL of your document library. Click “OK”.Step 4: Click on “New Display Group” and give it a title and a description. In the “Scopes” section select the scope you created in Step 2. The “Default Section” should automatically become the scope you selected.Step 5: Wait for the server to recognize the new scope and display group.Step 6: Go back to the page you wish to add a search box. Go to “Site Actions”, “Edit Page”, click on “Add a Web Part”. Select the “Search Box” web part and click “Add”.Step 7: The page should be in “Edit Mode”. In the “Search Box” web part click on the “edit” button and go to “Modified Shared Web Part”.Step 8: Expand the “Miscellaneous” section. Uncheck “Use site level defaults”. In the “Scope Display Group” sub-section the default display group scope will be “Search Dropdown” change this to the display group you created in Step 4. You cannot browse through the display groups so you will have to type your display group in exactly. Click on “OK”.Step 9: Exit out of “Edit Mode”. Your search box should now have the new search scope you created in Step 2 as the default choice.

I agree with truth13’s comments. America is playing a dangerous game as they are not aware of how Pakistani public thinks and acts. The rich 5% or the elite ruling class are not representative of average Pakistani’s emotional and personal approach to everything about Pakistan.
In brief, its a dangerous game America is playing and will only make things worse.. if it wants peace and stability in this region it should get out as soon as it can and let Pakistan and Afghanistan deal with their own troubles in their own ways. If Talibans emerge victorious then they have the right to govern and we should give them their chance. Remember Talibans never went to America to fight any war and ideologically Al-Qaeda is correct in trying to root out American and Western presence as well as influence from Islamic countries though I do not agree with their tactics.
Sad times ahead as the current big players in world are in state of an “intoxication of power”…
May Allah put us all on the straight and peaceful path… Amen.
